Laura Knowles serves as a Senior Advisor focusing on AI initiatives for the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Human Resources Solutions (HRS) organization. In her time with OPM, Laura has led and supported early career and cyber workforce priorities, including CyberCorps®: Scholarship for Service, a program designed to recruit and train the next generation of cyber talent to meet the needs of Federal, State, local, and tribal governments. She has managed workforce planning, reshaping, position management and classification functions in OPM HRS, and has broad experience consulting with agency partners across government. Laura joined OPM in 2009 from the private sector as a research analyst. She holds a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and is a certified Project Management Professional. Laura lives in Kansas City, MO with her husband, Chris, and sons, Cooper, Teddy, and Peter.
