Dan Hawksworth is the Global Head of Talent Acquisition for UPS, where he reports to the company’s CHRO and leads a team that helps the company hire over 300,000 people each year. Dan has 25+ years of experience in various HR leadership roles including talent acquisition, business partnering, executive search, talent development, labor/employee relations, communications, and international HR.
Before joining UPS in early 2021, Dan was a Vice President of Human Resources at DuPont, where he held a wide range of responsibilities that included Global Talent Acquisition, Corporate HR, HR financial planning & analysis and international HR. During his tenure with DuPont, Dan helped to modernize, standardize and simplify multiple HR systems and processes in a global functional transformation initiative that evolved the HR function at DuPont into a more contemporary and business-focused organization.
Dan’s previous experiences include working as an executive search and leadership consultant for Russell Reynolds Associates, one of the premier Leadership Advisory and Executive Recruiting companies in the world. Dan worked in the global Human Resources Practice, where he was partnering and advising with companies around recruiting and assessing top HR executives for Chief Human Resources Officer roles as well as other senior-level HR-related positions.
Dan also spent over a decade working in senior HR leadership positions with Honeywell International and spent his last five years at Honeywell reporting to the CHRO as a member of the company’s HR Leadership Team. Specific roles Dan held at Honeywell included the VP of HR for the Safety & Productivity Solutions business group, VP of HR for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and the VP of Global Talent Acquisition.
Dan’s early career included corporate recruiting roles for JP Morgan and MCI, as well as working as a recruiter for a search firm specializing in high tech.
Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ripon College in Ripon, WI and his MBA from the University of Arizona. He lives in the Chicago, IL area with his wife and three daughters.
