Matt Charney is the Editor in Chief for Recruiter.com (NASDAQ: RCRT), the world’s largest community and content destination dedicated to talent acquisition and recruitment, where he oversees editorial strategy, content marketing, partnerships, analyst & industry relations across Recruiter.com’s global portfolio of online properties. Matt recently joined Recruiter.com from HR.com, where he oversaw the talent acquisition vertical, including recruiting related events, publishing, community engagement, industry research and advisory services.Matt has served in marketing leadership roles for a variety of leading HR Technology companies, including Allegis Group, SmartRecruiters, Cornerstone OnDemand and Monster Worldwide; he also helped build Recruiting Daily into one of the leading content brands in the talent acquisition industry as both a partner and the company’s original Editor in Chief and head of brand marketing. Matt began his career as a corporate recruiter for companies like the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and Amgen, including launching enterprise social recruiting and employer branding programs for these Fortune 100 companies.A graduate of the George Lucas School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, Matt has been named one of the top 25 influencers in recruiting by publications such as the Huffington Post, Glassdoor and LinkedIn; he has also been recognized as an “HR Game Changer” by the Society of Human Resources, an HRO Today Superstar for Analyst Excellence and as an official mentor for SXSW Interactive and as an entrepreneur in residence for HEXA Ventures. His personal blog, Snark Attack, was named one of the top 15 business blogs by WordPress.Matt currently serves as an advisory board member for companies such as Textio, Symba, HoneIt, ExactBuyer and HeyHire; he has also advised several startups through acquisitions, including Clinch (PageUp), HumanPredictions (Indeed), ConveyIQ (Entelo), HiringSolved (Allegis Group) and Rolepoint (Employ), among other successful exits.
