DJ has been with Atlassian since January 2023 as the Global Head of Experienced Recruiting. Prior to joining Atlassian DJ was the Director of Recruiting at Meta (formerly Facebook) for 2+ years, and prior to Meta he spent 6.5 years with The Walt Disney Company as the Director, Professional Recruitment for Parks Experiences & Consumer Products. He brings over 25 years of human resources experience with brands like Ernst & Young, The Home Depot, Coca Cola, Paramount Pictures, Disney and Meta. He has led global Talent Acquisition functions in union and non-union environments and has been responsible for rolling out enterprise level strategies, tools and processes. He has held a variety of roles including Director of Talent Acquisition, Employment Practices Director, and Regional Human Resources Manager.He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Human Resources from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona and received certification from Cornell University and is AIRS Certified Diversity Recruiter. He is an active board member at Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Business Alumni Board (CBA) and Alumni Affairs Board where he enjoys volunteering time and mentoring students and alumni.Personally, he was raised in the Bay Area (Oakland/San Francisco CA) and currently lives in Huntington Beach, CA with his wife (Brandee). He enjoys technology, cooking (mostly eating) and living an outdoor lifestyle.
