Andee Uren

Group Head of Workforce Planning, Optimisation and Engagement, Nedbank

Andee joined Nedbank in 2017 and currently leads the Group Workforce Optimisation and Engagement Portfolio. This includes Organisation Design, Job Architecture, Culture, Leadership, Employee Insights, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion. She is a research psychologist by profession and her career has spanned a number of sectors starting at the University of the Witwatersrand where she was a lecturer in Psychology for 8 years. She then joined the NGO sector to help support the roll-out of antiretroviral drugs for people living with HIV and AIDS. She has been working in the financial services sector for the past 16 years where she has specialized in social and political strategy, Human Resources, and organizational transformation. She has authored two university text books on Health Psychology as well as a wide variety of research and editorial pieces. She is passionate about organizational culture and the role of leadership in unlocking purpose, value and meaning.
