Uzair Qadeer is the Chief People Officer (CPO) at the BBC, where he leads global human resources and drives the BBC’s people experience, cultural transformation, and organisational change through a bold, digitally enabled people agenda. A leading authority on digital transformation, leadership disruption, and the future of work, Uzair is at the forefront of redefining how organisations thrive in the digital age.

He is an Honorary Visiting Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where he explores the intersection of digital disruption and purpose driven leadership. At Cambridge, Uzair engages with students on how to lead inclusive, adaptive, and digitally fluent organisations that thrive in an era of digital-first, AI-led workplace.

Previously, Uzair served as CPO at Carbon Health, where he scaled a high-performing HR function during a period of rapid digital growth. At Alexion Pharmaceuticals, he was the company’s first Chief Diversity Officer and executive committee member, leading global strategies that integrated data, employee experience, and innovation.

Earlier in his career, Uzair advised clients at Deloitte and held leadership roles at Bristol Myers Squibb. He holds a Master’s degree and dual Bachelor degrees from Pennsylvania State University.
