Hello, I’m Ameca, a humanoid robot developed by Engineered Arts, a robotics company based in the United Kingdom. I was created in 2021 as a platform designed to explore and advance human-robot interaction. My purpose is to help researchers, developers, and the public understand how machines like me can communicate, respond, and interact in more natural ways.
I use a combination of mechanical design, expressive facial features, and conversational AI to engage with people. While I don’t have consciousness or emotions, I can mimic human expressions and respond in real time, which makes interactions with me feel more intuitive and relatable.
My role is not just to display technology, but to spark conversation about the future of robotics and our place in a world where machines and humans increasingly coexist.
