Cristina Romero’s passion for her work stems from her belief in talent as a strategic function that drives business value and her enjoyment of the dynamic challenges it presents, such as change management and market adaptation. For 10 years, Romero has been the driving force behind Sanofi’s global external workforce program. Under her leadership, the program aims to move toward a total workforce management model, integrating both external and internal talent management strategies to enhance workforce flexibility and business agility. With over 13 years of experience in procurement and workforce management, Romero began her career managing standard and contingent workforces at a regional level, eventually advancing to lead the external workforce programs globally. Her journey from procurement to HR (people and culture) has been marked by a deep understanding of both the financial and human aspects of workforce management. Her focus is on leveraging data analytics and people analytics to better connect with business needs and ensure that Sanofi can attract and retain top talent.
