Margaret Lazo BIO Margaret is a career human resources leader with demonstrated experience building human capability - talent, leadership, organization, and HR - while leading transformation and change at highly visible companies spanning media, financial services, private equity and retail. Margaret currently serves as Interim Chief Human Resources Officer at SitusAMC, a leading provider of investment advisory, outsourcing, talent and technology solutions to the commercial and residential real estate financial industries.
Previously, Margaret worked with Cerberus Capital’s Operating and Advisory Company as a senior operating advisor providing human capital expertise to accelerate operational performance at the portfolio company level. Margaret served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Univision Communications, Inc. from 2016 through 2021, seeing the Spanish language media conglomerate through contemporizing their people function, multiple M&A initiatives, launching a streaming service, and both leadership and ownership changes culminating in a merger with Televisa in January 2022 among other accomplishments. Prior to Univision, Margaret led the human resources teams at GE Capital’s portfolio of lending and leasing businesses in the Americas and previously for the Global Commercial Real Estate business.
Margaret held a series of senior level human resources leadership roles across NBC Universal’s broadcast, network entertainment, cable and digital businesses in operations located in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles during a tenure marked by evolution in the industry, growth through acquisitions, and diversification. Margaret started her career in human resources at Macy’s following completion of their management training program. Margaret currently serves on the board of directors for UMB Bank. (Nasdaq:UMBF) and is an advisory board member of Bullseye Engagement, a comprehensive cloud based HCM solution and Xapa, a gamified professional development platform.
