Raelyn joined Medtronic in April of 2022 and serves as our Vice President of Global Talent. In this role she is responsible for the development of over 90K and hiring over 20K high-performing team members to advance Medtronic’s mission, fuel innovation, and accelerate growth.Raelyn brings over twenty-five years of experience to her current role, gained from a multitude of human resources leadership positions. Prior to joining Medtronic, she was the SVP of HR for OptumHealth, the largest, fastest growing business within UnitedHealth Group with over 100K team members that generated revenue of $52B. In addition, she was at Target for sixteen years supporting various businesses as an HR Generalist, and in advancing many capabilities across Talent Acquisition, Talent Analytics, HR Technology and HR Operational Services. She also worked as an HR generalist for Cargill, Wilsons Leather, and ANC/National Car Rental. Raelyn is a long-standing member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) www.shrm.org. Raelyn is currently working on her dissertation to earn her Doctorate of Education in Organization Development and Change at the University of St. Thomas. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources from St. Cloud State University.Raelyn is passionate about developing teams that are driven to innovate and deliver strong business results. She really enjoys mentoring students and new HR professionals. Raelyn lives in Buffalo, Minnesota, with her husband Braden and their two children.
