Amy Schultz is the Chief Learning and Talent Officer at DTE, a Fortune 250 energy company with assets totaling over $48 billion, $12.5 billion in annual revenue & 10k employees. Serving 3.6 million customers, DTE is one of the largest diversified energy companies in the country involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide.
Amy leads DTE’s organizational effectiveness, culture transformation, talent acquisition, onboarding, talent & performance management, engagement, training, and leadership development teams. Amy also oversees the Continuous Improvement team responsible for driving operational excellence & fostering a culture of innovation. She is accountable for building a culture that embraces digital transformation and empowers teams to leverage technologies to improve operational effectiveness. Amy ensures the workforce is equipped to meet evolving business challenges by integrating all aspects of the employee life cycle & connecting team members to company purpose. By integrating DTE's Operating Model within all human capital systems, Amy ensures that all team members can exhibit and perform key behaviors essential for future business success.
Prior to DTE, Amy held several positions at Henry Ford Health. There she was asked to lead HR Operations & Change Management for their IT Clinical Transformation. In that role she led all aspects of HR and built a high-performing team responsible for the implementation of a fully integrated electronic medical record & revenue system. Results of this implementation exceeded company targets and were recognized as one of the largest and most successful transformations nationwide. In addition to her direct HR responsibilities, she designed the enterprise-wide strategy for culture transformation to enable all 30k employees to successfully adopt new processes and technologies into their daily work.
Schultz earned a certificate from University of Michigan Ross School of Business Advanced HR Executive Program, Master of HR/OD from Eastern Michigan University, and MSW from Wayne State University, and completed WorldatWork Executive Compensation Immersion Program. She currently Chairs Wayne State University School of Management Advisory Board and as Member-Chair for Chief Learning & Talent Officer Board for the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp). She serves on the board for Junior Achievement of SE MI, Inforum of Michigan, and American Society of Employers.
