Young Living

In this session, Jeff Holdsworth shares the real challenge Young Living faced: rising signs of burnout and employee feedback that pointed to overloaded teams, shifting priorities, and inconsistent boundaries. Like many organizations, Young Living had engagement data and comments but lacked one thing that matters in the boardroom: a clear, repeatable metric for wellbeing.

Young Living launched YL Five to Thrive to its 1,500 global employees with the intent to turn proven wellbeing principles into everyday workplace habits, resources, and norms—helping employees feel cared for, connected, and growing. Just as importantly, Young Living operationalized measurement by moving from scattered engagement items to a Wellbeing Index and an eNPS-style wellbeing metric that leaders can track over time and act on.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand how to identify and diagnose early signs of employee burnout using engagement data and qualitative feedback.
  • Examine how wellbeing measurement can be structured across multiple dimensions (personal motivators, relationships, company motivators, and happiness).
  • Gain insight into how standardized wellbeing metrics (e.g., eNPS-style scoring) support leadership decision-making and accountability.
