Beyond the Expo: UNLEASH World 2025 with Hirevue’s Chief Evangelist

My name is Dina Taylor, and I’m the Chief Evangelist at Hirevue. 

How is Hirevue helping to balance innovation with business-as-usual critical needs?

Hirevue has been a leader in our space with both AI assessments and video interviewing for the past 20 years.

Our experience in partnering with customers all over the globe has really educated us on the fact that we must balance innovation with practical solutions for our customers to leverage every day. 

Our focus is on the fact that our customers need to identify quality talent without sacrificing speed. And, we do that by ensuring that they have access to innovative solutions that work, not only for the problem statements of today, but also the problem statements of the future.

How is Hirevue helping trust and transparency within the hiring process?

AI is everywhere now, isn’t it? And with the launch of so much AI and the access to so much AI, it has led to the access of so much data, and it’s extremely hard for our customers and really anybody to distinguish what is valuable, meaningful, and important data from all of that noise that’s out there. 

Hirevue really focuses on two things. One is ensuring a high degree of transparency and the use of ethical AI, broadly throughout our entire solution stack, as well as how we partner with our customers. 

We want our candidates and our customers and our users, and the world to know what goes into our AI, how it is leveraged, why it is leveraged, through to the way it is leveraged. 

Similarly, we also very much focus on skills and skills validation with all of that data that is out there, with the use of AI. What’s most important is to validate the skills that the human has that makes them so good at their jobs that they have now, and the jobs that they might have in the future. 

Can you share an example of where Hirevue has made an impact you’re proud of?

Even here at UNLEASH, we’ve been so honored to see some of our customers who have been leveraging our solution. 

Yesterday, Jonathan Mears, who is the Head of Global Talent Acquisition over at Emirates NBD, spoke at length about the use of skills validation assessments and automation with the use of Hirevue. It’s contributed to such incredible results, such as $400,000 annual savings and cost per-hire, a 100% improvement in Candidate Net Promoter Score, and a 26% improvement in overall recruiter and hiring team efficiencies. 

That’s just one example of so many others where we really partner and work closely with our customers to ensure results like that all over the world. 

How does Hirevue work with partners and existing HR systems to make sure solutions are integrated, not siloed?

We know that recruiters and users and hiring managers don’t want to toggle between multiple systems. They want to really live in the least number of platforms that work as seamlessly and as frictionlessly as possible. 

Our solution integrates extremely seamlessly with all of the major and minor applicant tracking systems in CRMs that are out there, and many of the partners that are here in our space. 

We have a Platinum Partnership program with Workday, as well as a high degree of partners with so many others, who are here this week.

As a senior leader, what’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned?

I think that it is best for all of us to be our authentic selves. When we try to be somebody that we’re not, or try to behave in a way that doesn’t quite feel like who we are, it doesn’t ever work. 

My biggest lesson, particularly as I stepped into leadership roles throughout my career, is to not try to be like anyone else. 

Lead as a human and be a human first, and all the good things will follow. 

What are you excited about in our landscape for next year?

I’m really passionate about this notion of bringing the human back into human resources, while also really focusing on agentic AI and automation. I think these things are not mutually exclusive, and we have an opportunity to really humanize the overall talent experience, but do so with technology and really powerful results.
