Over the past eighteen months, UNLEASH conducted research with over 1000 global organizations, with combined HR tech budgets of more than $4 billion, to form our 2020 ‘Why HR Projects Fail’ report and prepare businesses as they look to completely retool their organizations in 2021.

“Only 16% of projects are considered highly successful?” proclaims Menno Olgers, Director Aegon Global In-House IT/BPO Center. “That’s just as low as the average percentage of highly engaged employees in an average company.
“It’s one of the most shocking results for me in this research and especially as it represents over $4 billion in managed HR tech budget and investments.”
Menno is one of many influential business leaders reacting to the insights in the groundbreaking report.

Menno agrees action is needed as we head into 2021.
He continues: “I do argue we need to take it a step further. A mindset of transformation will flourish when we change our focus from employee experience to human experience making it easier to tap into passion and purpose at every level of scale.”

“My takeaway now is to ask: What’s your unique gift to this world? And how does your project help you deliver that? If you can’t answer this simple question, hold your horses. Or consider pulling the plug because you might be part of the 84% of failed projects that are wasting your valuable time and resources,” Menno adds.
