UNLEASH America 2025: 'Good human-centered design is desirable, feasible and good for business'

2 min read

At UNLEASH America 2025 in Las Vegas, Sue Lam, VP of Global People Analytics, Culture, Strategy & Planning at The Coca-Cola Company, shared with delegates how one of the world’s most well-known companies is redesigning HR to prioritize human experiences, eliminate barriers, and enhance employee journeys.

Lam sat down for an exclusive video interview with UNLEASH Senior Journalist, John Brazier, to offer insights into how the beverages giant is designing and implementing human-centered experiences.

One of her key messages for HR peers was that this should be something that is not only beneficial for employees, but also for the business.

“So it needs to kind of have that trifecta to actually be human centered.”

She added that looking ahead, the company will be focused on embedding these principles, mindsets and ways of working across the organization’s global workforce.

“I think that is probably the hardest part of change, making sure people adopt those behaviors and are thinking in that way. That is probably going to be the biggest area of opportunity for us.”
