The employee engagement tools join forces.
Why You Should Care
Discover how the merger will impact Benefex's popular employee benefits platform.
Employee engagement is all the rage at the moment. This shouldn’t be surprising as millions leave the workforce and the relationship employees have with work is being seriously reconsidered.
One company that has been helping companies do this is Benefex. Benefex is an employee benefits platform that can improve engagement with the visualization of its analytics.
The company has now acquired another employee experience platform called Wrkit. Wrkit uses a suite of modules and allows users to pick the most applicable tools or adopt a full employee engagement platform.
Wrkit saw its number of clients spike over the pandemic and considerable growth in the UK and Ireland. In fact, Wrkit product now supports over half a million employees across 300 organizations.
As part of this acquisition, the Wrkit teams in Ireland, the UK, and Australia will join Benefex.
Why acquire Wrkit?
Adam Mason, Global VP at Benefex, who played a key role in the acquisition commented on why Benefex invested: “This is an exciting acquisition for Benefex. Having successfully integrated the Capita employee benefits business in the last 12 months, the Zellis Group [parent company of Benefex] continues to invest heavily to help us build out our world-class product suite. OneHub has a huge role to play in supporting organizations to deliver their people strategy in the new world of work.”
Wrkit founder and CEO, Peter Jenkinson, shared this enthusiasm and said: “To date, Wrkit and Benefex have developed a market-leading partnership. We are now deployed with over 50 Benefex customers.
“The combined Benefex/Wrkit offering will enhance the already world-class OneHub suite, creating the opportunity for new and exciting tools and, we believe, serve Benefex customers with our best-in-market employee discounts, wellbeing, move and learning products. This is the culmination of an exciting first chapter for the Wrkit team but the start of an even more exciting one with Benefex.”
Benefex founder and CEO, Matt Macri-Waller, also commented on the impact of this acquisition: “Having worked in partnership with Wrkit over the last few years, we have seen the passion and customer focus of every person in the business.
“Bringing the entire Wrkit team and product into our business further supports our mission to help every employee have an exceptional experience, every day. By adding an employee discount offering, a behavioral science-led wellbeing platform, and new communications tools to the OneHub product suite, we can help every customer solve more of their employee engagement challenges than ever before.”
With news of this acquisition, it is easy to see why Macri-Waller told UNLEASH that employee engagement would carry on being an exciting space for the next couple of years.
